Natural High DVD Project

Stakeholders

The Sundt Memorial Foundation (California, USA) has produced a series of DVD’s called Natural High, which is aimed at creating awareness of the negative impact of drugs on High School learners. The series has been adopted by thousands of schools within the United States and has been a hugely successful.

Changing Lives™, in association with The Sundt Memorial Foundation will be introducing the DVD series to South African schools. Changing Lives™ will not be charged any licensing or other fees by the Sundt Memorial Foundation, but will be responsible for the reproduction and distribution of the DVD series and other associated documentation.

Vision

The vision of the project is to create awareness of the negative impact that drugs have on the youth and is geared promote a clean lifestyle where learners are encouraged to find their own “Natural High” and not to rely on destructive chemical alternatives.

Project Description

Naturally High 4 Life DVD = It’s time for the youth of South Africa to get high on life! This exciting and interactive DVD allows teens to learn about the dangers of drug abuse and talk about the do’s and don’ts in life without anyone feeling awkward – teachers included! The messaging is focused on getting high on life and is delivered in a manner that is easy for teens to understand and associate with. This DVD is something that every school in South Africa needs to be showing their learners.

Watch Clip - Natural High 4 is a powerful film displaying how youth can live up to their highest potential – DRUG FREE – through the way of Natural Highs! It has an in-your-face approach to building resilience, as shown through the words, deeds, actions and right choices made by stars of today’s generation. Natural High 4 features drug free heroes in music, traditional sports and the extreme sports. Stars include Pro Skater Paul Rodriguez Jr., Pro Golfer Anna Rawson, Rock Band Relient K, NBA player Mike Conley Jr., WNBA player Lisa Leslie, and pro surfer and musician, Timmy Curran. Natural High 4 comes with a video discussion guide, and Natural High 2 and 3 included on the disc! Choose which film works best for your classroom or watch all three!

Watch Clip - Natural High 3 is unlike any video you've ever seen! This DVD celebrates singing, song writing, playing musical instruments and performance as a natural high. It features several of Billboard's top artists - Mya, P.O.D. and Switchfoot, as well as Darrin Henson, choreographer to Prince, Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson. There is also an updated Going Deeper discussion guide with corresponding video clips.
